New service for Finnish companies entering Indonesia’s halal market – Seven Stones and IHPrime launch cooperation

A new and more streamlined pathway to the Indonesian consumer market is opening for Finnish and other Nordic food and consumer goods companies as Seven Stones Finland and International Halal Prime launch a cooperation to provide halal certification services.

The aim of the collaboration is to offer companies a comprehensive service that enables them to obtain the halal certification required in Indonesia for consumer products.

Access to the Indonesian market requires halal certification and halal labeling. From October 2026 onwards, the requirement will extend beyond food products to cover a wide range of consumer goods, and gradually to pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

“Halal is often associated only with food and beverages, but it should be understood more broadly through consumer contact: halal requirements apply to almost everything that comes into contact with the consumer,” explains Tanja Harjuniemi, managing director of Seven Stones Finland.

Non-halal products can still be imported and sold, but they must be clearly labeled as non-halal.

Seven Stones is responsible for client relations and initial training in Finland, while IHPrime acts as the operational lead in Indonesia, managing the technical implementation of the certification process and coordinating with local authorities and certification bodies.

“Halal certification is not just a checklist, but a comprehensive quality system covering the entire supply chain. It extends from sourcing raw materials to production, packaging, storage, logistics, and distribution,” says Mohammad Zen, managing director of IHPrime.

“We support companies throughout the certification process and ensure that it progresses smoothly, in a controlled manner, and in full compliance with requirements,” Zen adds.

Before the actual certification process begins, companies undergo a initial training.

“Through this training, we ensure that your company, products, and processes are ready for certification before you invest time and resources in the process. This helps avoid unnecessary risks and provides a clear understanding of requirements, costs, and timelines,” Harjuniemi emphasizes.
